That would normally be a violation of your 4th amendment rights, since without a warrant or probably cause, law enforcement is not allowed to search your property or person.
This alone is proof that you subjugate your rights voluntarily when you choose to fly on an airplane.
These rules have been in place pretty much since the dawn of commercial airlines, and since Obama wasn't born yet, I don't think you can blame it on him.
You don't have a right to air travel, you don't have a right to a drivers license, if you can't pass the test or if you break the rules too many times you lose your license.
You DO have a right to travel, and there are no checkpoints at state borders etc, but you don't have a "right" to be on an airplane anymore than you have a right to be on the space shuttle.
