All mainstream is doing right now is making Twitter scripts and apps to compile and spam and collect etc etc etc. People are after followers like PR rankings, for some that will turn into income and for most it will be long winded bragging rights.
This bubble is going to burst and quick, March was their biggest growth month so far, probabaly cuz the media jumped on it after Obama made such a splash with it.
Twitter has no revenue model but many millions in VC funding it wil be interesting to see how this plays out.
