I had second row tickets to see (\/)etallica, in Philly, for their black album. I was talking to the girl in front of me (in the front row) about how much we paid for the tickets we had (I paid $70, she paid $140), when all of a sudden the lights went out and the music started - Chaos ensued.
The precious seat I had purchased, quickly became a distant memory as the flood of people rushed forward. It was like being caught in a cattle stampede.
Anyhow, after a few songs everyone pretty much calmed to the point that we could finally breath. I caught glimpse of that girl I was talking to earlier on - She was back like 15 rows.
Later on in the concert, someone threw some firecrackers up at James Hetfield's feet during a song. He stopped the concert and threatened to end the show. He announced what had just happened and spit a huge lugie into the crowd. I don't know if it hit the right guy, but I doubt it. Everyone started pointing at some guy not too far from me screaming 'asshole', over and over again. I couldn't see what happened to him, but I wouldn't have wanted to be him at that moment.
I can't wait till the concert this July.
