The last responder on that board misinterpreted the question and gave the instructions for bridging two routers by ethernet cable.
There are routers and access points that can pickup a wi-fi signal and redistribute it to an ethernet lan as a bridge, but the options I gave are a lot less expensive and technically easier.
And yes, installing
dd-wrt does allow you to bridge the two together through wireless by creating a "Client mode".
