I learned that lesson after one night and also learned to watch who you expect to be your designated driver. I was at a bar one night after work bartending so it was late, started gettting a little tipsy and made arrangements with a couple of people I was with where one would drive my car and the other would follow to bring him back. I gave up my keys willingly. Being I was covered I was throwing back shots and having a great time. I remember walking outside to leave with my friends. My next memory was trying to unlock my front door and kept dropping my keys. I realized then that somehow I drove home. I called my friends the next day and asked why the hell they let me drive home. Their reply was, you asked for you keys and said you were fine. I remember NOTHING after walking out the door of the bar and standing at my front door. I don't do drugs and I wasn't roofied or anything like that. I don't know how they hell I made it home in one piece so now if I want to tear it up I make sure not only do I have a driver I have a driver that I trust to not hand me back my keys, no matter what I say.
