I actually had my Wisdom Teeth taken out on Friday
I didn't sleep properly for about 4 days prior to the little op... Anyway, I opted for the full anasthesia (They took all of them out)...
Two hours after they pulled them out I was awake and itching to go home.... My mouth was a bit out of shape and I was spitting blood all that night.... I had some good pain killers which kept me 'happy' and out of pain... It was more uncomfortable than painful...
I didn't eat anything on Friday, I was just too scared, but by Saturday I was eating soup and bread, just chewing VERY carefully with only my front teeth....
I spent most of the weekend completely drugged up and I also slept a good portion of it
By Monday, I was feeling human again... Went to work, felt fine, and then about a third of the way into the day, I got a little 'spacey' - but that was just the pain killers...
Tuesday was fine, I didn't have any pain killers in the morning, but by lunch time I needed some (Too much talking in the office, it was irritating my mouth)... I also started eating real food again, still very carefully though...
Wednesday, feeling 100% now, no pain killers during the day, went out for lunch... By the evening through, I was ready for some more drugs....
Now, I'm feeling fine - my mouth still feels unconfortable, but I've got no swelling left and it's not stopping me from doing anything...
I would recommend it over having children anyday!
So, in a nutshell, don't panic - it's not that bad... When I spoke to people about it before I went in they all said it wasn't too bad, but I have a friend *blablabla* - nobody I knew had a problem with it themselves...
Good Luck with it
Mandy
