If pot became legal it wuld be regualated. Which company is going to step up and make joints? people bash the smoking industry for cigarettes so you think they are going to start dealing in pot? Potsheads seem to think that if pot became legal they could suddenly grow it themselves. Do people grow tobacco? No. You'd have to by it in packs in teh store and show ID just like cigs. The THC levels would probably be regulated and be MUCH lower than regular pot is. thus driving potheads to go get illegal shit anyways.
They say legalizing drugs would lower crime. Really. Now while I will concede Prohibition made the mafia a powerful entity, but did getting rid of prohibiton end the mafia? No, they just went on to other things. Legalize pot and the drug dealers sell something else. Legalize that and they move on to something else. Even if you legalized all drugs the drug dealers will come up with soemthing new and deal that.
