Oh no..
He was a great buddy of mine for many years when I used to dj on the London Club scene from the mid 60's - 90's. Since I got in to this biz I don't even know what's top of the charts any more and hearing that news is really upsetting.
Edwin discovered Rose Royce in the mid 70's and they were his backing band till Norman Whitfield made them stars. In those days they were called Dynamic Concept..
I just hope that Edwin didn't have to send out an "S.O.S", walk "25 miles" and then find a "War" and that he went peacefully ..
