the ignorance is strong in this thread...
- (legal) weapons are already registered in germany since years - as is every (legal) gun owner
- there are laws how to secure your weapons at home
- the father of that kid broke the law by not securing a handgun and 4600 bullets
- they suggest inspections to make sure that weapons are stored in secure places
isn't that what all the gun owners always claim? that it's the person and not the gun that kills? and that every responsible gun owner keeps his weapons out of reach of children?
it's obvious that not every gun owner is as responsible as we wish and therefore i think inspections are absolutely fine.
and everyone that believes that a handgun at home has any influence on a political system or that this could be the start to something like a 4th Reich and WW3 is (sorry) an idiot.
