You were invested with him? If not why the fuck do you care? It was common knowledge that Madoff was involved in some kind of fraud for many years. Most of the people who invested with him assumed he was "front running" and therefore able to achieve above market returns. The problem is "front running" is illegal. The people who got burned thought they were benefiting from an illegal fraud. They just did not know that they were actually the victims.
