Whenever I dabbled in mainstream I always used Neverblue Ads. They were usually pretty good as far as CPA or CPL ads went and usually had the exact ad I needed per site I was running.

I messed around with ADBRITE however if you are running low traffic sites in niche or sub-niche areas no one will buy an AD on your site usually and will leave you with the usually low CPC provided by ADBRITE.

I haven't messed with AZOOGLE however I did use Amazon's affiliate program which does amazing around christmas etc and did pretty well on off months and if you run a site selling toys etc it is definitely something you may want to look at. Last I checked they had two options ranging from raising commision % based on sales which is what I did, or a basic 5% ... I guess it depends on personal prefence.

Then there is always adsense.
