everybody has words/phrases like that.

until i was way into my twenties - i used to think it was 'for all intensive purpose' until somebody corrected me that it was 'for all intent and purpose'

my sister used to say 'it's a doggy dog world' instead of 'dog eat dog world' and on game shows at the end the announcer would tell the losing contestant that there were some 'lovely parting gifts' - she thought it was 'party gifts'

but girl next store ............
