With the exception of a couple incidents, we never really had problems at our strip clubs. The mainstream club in Memphis was geared towards an older, more affluent clientele, but we had to add different types of nights to bring in customers every night of the week, and the only time we had problems was on hip hop night, which we eventually had to discontinue. Memphis is full of clubs that had a very robust business, ending up having a few shootings at hip hop night, and then became ghost towns. We didn't want that to happen so we canned them.
The problems were always the porn stores. Most of them were located in shitty areas next to low income housing projects, and on top of the customers you always had to deal with prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, and the homeless from the projects. We ended up having to have 24 hour armed security at most of our stores so the customers, and employees, would feel safe. One day when I finish writing my book I have no doubt it will be a best seller due to some of the crazy shit I have seen over the years...
