Reminds me of this mud I played/play. Started 10 years ago.. when they say nobody can leave forever, they mean it. I only know of one person who quit and actually didn't come back, at least for a short while, and she died. Hell, I said I'd never go back too, and 10 years later I still pop in about once a week to say hi.
It gets in your blood.
