Do not think it is really legal even with a prescription. I helped with this bill in the first place, had one of the first Co-ops open to the public (after San Fran, Oakland, and a few others), Was present during two raids by the feds at the San Fran Co-op, and one raid at the Oakland Co-op. Yup jack booted cops with assault riffles swarming the place, using tie downs on aids and cancer victems, basicly holding the entire place hostage for a few hours.

Had my Co-op closed by a federal judge (part of the agreement). Got charged with consipracy against the United States Government with a 10 to life potential sentance. Despite that it was "legal" in California, depite all our clients had valid written prescriptions, despite that all of our clients had assigned us their growing rights as providers, despite that the price to the clients was ten times lower than street value (3.5 grams of hydro green for 5.00).

I was lucky enough to fight the case and fight hard enough to have it dropped due to some very tricky federal rules. Still had to close per judges orders while waiting (took nine months for them to drop it), had to undergo random piss testing with 12 hours notice during that time (despite a prescription), and was stuck with a legal bill from hell.

They used state cops to bust me, state funds to bring it federal, state investigators to sieze assets, and state troops to search and find evidence. Yet the state says its "legal", funny eh?

That same law also says the state was supposed to come up with a way to make it available to valid prescription holders, seen any yet?
