LOL...a guy named sitesurfer tells you he is a "newbie" then asks for $1 trials that have no x-sells. Doesn't ask about payouts or anything.
Does anybody here ever read pornbb or any of the other surfer forums that have thousands of threads with links to all of your members areas completely and totally ripped?
What a great source of information GFY is for anybody NOT in this business to gather more info to further decrease sales to paysites by finding the cheapest way to get to the content!
Nice. I wish other businesses would just give away every secret (surfers now know what an affiliate program is, what x-sells are, hell...how every part of our business works) I'd like to be a banker. Or a wall street broker. Or get in the commodities markets. Or maybe the oil business.
But damn...for some reason I can't find a forum anywhere that features the actual big players in any of those industries revealing how their businesses really work to their consumers. I wonder why?
Carry on guys! I just finished looking at a "Mega Download" thread of 20 or 30 links to Claudia-Marie's old scenes over on pornbb and laughing at the surfers getting pissed about the fact that the links keep getting yanked off rapid share.
Funny thing is...that forum moves 20 x faster than GFY. And each time I hit reply on her thread, within a minute it would be on page 3.
What was pushing it down so fast?
Those poor, innocent surfers loading up other threads as fast as they could with more links to all or your websites members areas completely ripped.
I honestly think that all of this "surfer education" going on at review sites and at freeones for instance...is not a good thing for our industry. I understand the intentions of those sites...but the results are very bad.
I may be old school, but we would never have done any of this in 1998, 2003, and not now either.
We started out our tgps presented as Nice guys just wanting to share our porn.
But now our own people have revealed that it's all about affiliate programs. Dumb.
The illusion has been broken and the marketing strategy of the free site destroyed.
And guess who is now using that SAME marketing strategy?
Why it's those nice guys at the torrent sites and illegit tube sites! They are just so damn nice and let you have ALL the porn on the internet for free and don't try to charge you at all!
Of course the surfer doesn't know and doesn't care how the torrent site is monetizing through dating ads. All they know is....he is NOT part of those affiliate programs that have been discussed on the surfer forums from the info they go on GFY and others. And they don't have x-sells that are also now discussed on every surfer forum that they learned about on review sites, freeones and right here on our own industry forum.
I don't know...I said it from the very beginning that if people in our business didn't learn how to run a closed business like every other goddamn industry in the world, we would suffer.
I suggest that everybody who thinks I'm wrong...start doing some research on surfer forums.
And also...don't bother trying to do searches on pornbb to find your stuff.
