This statement is invalid just because by now - it's simply a matter of choice.
AMDs definitely have the better value/price ratio, the moboa are still a little cheaper, which means that you can build a fast system for way less than a comparable Intel system.
I personally like Intel better, they simply 'feel' more stable, and have a wider base of software support. Hyperthreading will most likely become the new way CPU perform in the future ... AMD is still leaking behind with a similar technology. BUT they're more expensive ... on the other hand the new 533 MHz FSB Northwoods are mad overclockers. With the right RAM (and good cooling as well) you can achieve mad results
Oh and I forgot - I don't think the newest AMDs are build using .13 micron technology, do they?
