Joe..forgetting any of the Polanski personal drama..was the director award not deserved? Also, the art direction was over looked at the awards. Even the usage of greys was wonderful.

It was a extraordinary film in all respects.
Spielberg's film was too Hollywood for me. I enjoyed it but The Pianist is a far superior film.
The Acadamy Awards lost all credibility when "Titanic" won Best Picture.
