Nobody likes to talk money or set standards in this business. Because of that, people just end up getting paid what the owner feels they are worth. It makes some underpaid and some overpaid.

I would say it depends on how much you help them, it should be based on some sort of commission over a typical salary. Think about one you're used to getting and then negotiate a commission. It depends alot on experience also. There are a few factors.
