regardless of what you guys think, the type of traffic they have and the content that goes through there is very low monetisability, and returning forum users are amongst the worst when it comes to profitability (unless you are in a tight business niche)
you mainstream guys know that there are sites you could have with a ton of traffic getting majorly outperformed by low traffic sites, just having a ton of crappy traffic isn't the be all end all answer
the site wouldn't even be worth purchasing because if you bought it and tried to change things there to make it profitable, your own users would likely attack and destroy it
