For those that like radio....

The bleat goes on and on as U.S. talk-radio becomes a land of stars and gripes

ST. ALBANS, VT. -- If Don Cherry had been ranting here in the United States instead of Canada, it might well have been the broadcast equivalent of "If a tree falls in the woods . . ."
His pro-America, slam-Canada attack following the crass booing of the Star-Spangled Banner at a recent Montreal hockey game might have been big news in Canada and even the subject of a mini-inquiry at the CBC, but here in the land of talk radio, he might not even make it to air.
At the very least, he'd be asked to join a long, long line of fellow ranters -- many of them louder, most of them so easily heated they'd melt the ice being flooded during Cherry's Coach's Corner.
Mike Gallagher, for example, is on right now talking again about that same incident.
"It makes me sick!" he barks from the car radio. "Those bunch of sissies up in Canada are there booing while our boys are coming home in body bags."
