The difference is that this is a special. You're paying less for older hw that he wants to put back into use, nothing shady or unbelievable about that... it's a simple one size fits most deal. If they were offering this sort of pricing regularly then you might worry about their longevity, but I don't think there's anything unsustainable happening here.
