The TRUTH about the proposed and pending anti-gun legislation has nothing whatsoever to do with reduction of crime, nor of safety or common sense. The whole intent and purpose of gun control laws is PRESERVATION AND CONTINUITY OF OPPRESSIVE REGIME, particularly when such seeks to CHANGE from its former state to one more tyrannical in nature. The technology of a semi-automatic firearm is a hundred or more years old. It is essentially unchanged and the inner workings of these weapons are the same.
The Obama/Biden Assault Weapons Ban does not ban assault weapons, it bans legal semi-automatic weapons used in competitive shooting sports, recreational shooting, hunting and self defense. Such a ban is unconstitutional and it is tyrannical in both intent and nature.
The media continues to distort the facts when it comes to guns and have the common habit of referring to semi automatic rifles as assault weapons when that is untrue. The media and politicians continue to call many rifles assault rifles solely based on appearance.
