I pay that also, but in Canadian currency. They either need the $$$ or not.
If the girl or couple or " models" are goog, I then give them extra . I then get good referrals or other shoot with the models.
I have the impression you are comparing with the "major" hollywood porn video shoot. I did some of that and was paying $ 400.00 a scene, so basically between $800.00 - $1000.00. But keep in mind that this is a video distributed in all video stores and newstands, so exposure is much bigger than members section of paysites.
I agree: if you pay that much, you will not be in business very long.
