I took a lady friend to the ER earlier this evening
...because she could not breathe...she suffers with COPD from 42 years of smoking. She quit smoking about 3 months ago. I stayed at the ER long enough to hear the doctor bluntly tell her that he did not expect her to live another two years. I think the doctor's beside manner needs some improvement. She is currently 60 years old and is on oxygen 24/7 and has been for several years. She is frequently in and out of the hospital. She was admitted to the hospital and may or may not be released tomorow.
The reason I am posting this is...if you smoke quit now.
