Hormone packed foods and water supplies, a hypersexualized society, and other environmental factors are causing girls to mature sexually at younger ages. A 14 year old girl is a very sexual being. She is going to have sexual interests, she is going to act provocatively.There's plenty of people who have their daughters in dance classes doing damn near the exact same thing strippers are doing already, minus the pole. Why does introducing a pole into the equation suddenly change things? Nobody is charging into these dance classes and screaming "you're teaching our daughter to act like bar whores and peelers!" The way teenage girls dress and act, they want to feel sexy. If getting up on the pole gets them interested in exercising and staying in shape, and their parents are ok with it, so be it. No one is saying you have to allow your daughter do it.

I will agree that perhaps school isn't the best place to bring this in, and it should probably be ran passed the parents first, but really it's not like they're being taught how to strip, just how to swing around on a pole. The act itself is in no way obscene, only it's association to something which is.

I am seriously baffled that this is the news headline that has you in such an uproar. The economy is bombing, people are loosing it and murdering their families, 6 year old children getting gunned off by their crazed parents, innocent people are dying daily in bullshit religious wars, kids are shooting up schools, massive fields of liquid plastic are spanning the oceans, our water supplies are poisoned by pharmaceuticals, the air and soil polluted, the list goes on. And your big concern is that a teenage girl might have some twinkle of sexuality stir up while swinging around on a pole?

You sir are the type of person who concerns me about our future as a species...
