Went to Punta Cana in DR March of 08. The resort was really nice and it's pretty cool that you can walk up a strip along the ocean to the other resorts. As long as you stay on resort property you're safe. The weather is beautiful and the people are very nice. Don't expect much nightlife. It's more of a place to go if you like to chill on the beach (really nice beach). Wear HEAVY sunblock if you go!!!! The sun is INSANE!
