The Phoenix Forum -- worth paying for?
Hi all,
Having heard the rants and raves about this event on this board, I'd like to get some feedback on attending. By the time I had decided to attend and went to the site to register, the free registration period had ended, and now they're asking for $250 to attend the event. So I've been thinking this over and whether it's worth paying to attend. I'm starting a company to market adult sites and perhaps this would be a way to meet potential clients and have fun at the same time. I'm in LA and would probably fly but could also drive. I figure total cost would be about $750 including fees, hotel, travel, etc.
Is this a fairly small gathering of people who mostly know each other and do you think it would be worth it for me to attend? Are there other events coming up that are much larger and more well-attended? I don't want to pay for it only to find it's a handful of webmasters and not of much benefit. What are the main reasons for attending?
Hopefully some of you can help me with this decision. My impression is that it's quite small compared to other events (Montreal, Internext in Aug., etc.). Any thoughts?
Thanks,
David
