You're right, we shall.
I suspect that trucks will bring in that aid and food to areas that have been secured by the military, and the civilians that are hungry will show up in droves to accept it. Those still standing with their guns will also soon get hungry. Some will give up rather than starve. They will all be treated very well by the red cross and other coalition agencies that are there to help them and their children.
Later their country will be rebuilt for them, if they can only sit back and shaddap and let us do it for them. I say "us" because Canada will be a part of that process. They will have construction done for them, sewage systems, hydro-electric production made better than ever, etc etc.
But you're right, there will likely come a time when they simply want everyone out. No way they're going to be allowed to start killing each other and setting up a new dick-tater-ship though. Nuh-uh.
