The guy that gets hit LUCKILY hits the lion point blank or the lion would have hit him point blank and his life would be done because you cannot shoot an animal that is lying on your buddy unless you want to kill him.
Sad shit is this lion is basically penned and instead of its 450 - 500 lbs it is put on a hunger diet to bring it down to 300 which means its skeleton weighs 200 pounds and organs another 105 and unfortunately 95 pounds of muscle (down from 145 - 195) is just not enough to defend yourself. Not to mention the lion also is starved for several days without food or water to further incapacitate him.
Had he been full strength he would have killed at least one human. Had he not been in a fenced in area he would have just bailed...
