Problem with that is food and water for the civilians. We'll get killed politically for a standoff. Need to take out the Republican Guard fairly quickly.
Supply ships are docking at the Iraqi port tomorrow. The city is secure enough to start unloading goods. The goal is to get that city functional fairly quickly to get those Iraqi civilians back to work and living a hopefully better life. Would definitely be a good sign for other Iraqi civilians throughout the country.
