They have more ground forces than we have over there right now.
Our 3rd ID should be over there by this weekend. That will increase our forces by 30k and 200+ tanks. A large chunk of our troops are still in Kuwait. It's all a matter of what forces are where at any given time. Doesn't matter if we have 300k troops over there if 5k of our guys meet up with 10k of their guys and our nearest reinforcements are hours away.
Much of our air power in central Iraq is still grounded due to the storms. That is probably why they are charging at our guys. They know our air support is going to be limited.
Going to be pretty interesting in the next day or two when the larger forces collide.
