So here's today's TAF questions (I know, you're saying WTF is TAF, well I can play this game too):

What is a 'tube site', I check out tube sites posted here, and they are seemingly filled with copyrighted content with no way for the owners to make money. Now my perception is obviously wrong because youtube is a tube site and their owners make a ton of money, so can somebody clue me in to how a tube site differs from a paysite or TGP, and how the tube site makes money?

TAF question #3: As an infrequent surfer of porn, I always thought TGP's were posted by kid's in their parent basements, fucking about on their parents computers. But after spending some time at GFY reading the posts, it looks like it's a legitimate business. How much money can be made off of TGP's, paysites, tubesites (which I still don't understand), and content creation? Which gives the most bang for the buck?

Thanks, and if any of you are in your parent basement right now, I didn't mean to offend you!
1) Tube sites

A tube site is a video sharing website "supposedly" fueled by user-generated content. People video themselves doing stupid shit or having sex, and then upload it for the world to see. Or, they upload movie clips, TV clips, etc.

Since YouTube (and the entire Tube phenomena) is relatively new, the copyright infringement issue is trying to keep pace with the MASSIVE amounts of traffic these sites receive, but it's tough to police that kind of stuff.

So, how can illegal tubes make money? Illegal tubes are sites that accept copyrighted material. Even though an enormous amount of content producers visit the tubes and request that their material be taken down, it remains up until someone notices. Many say that the tube owners upload full length videos themselves from paysite members areas in order to attract visitors.

So, they make money off their massive traffic and advertising. You can have banner advertising, in video advertising, etc.

2) Adult Business

Many people say that 10+ years ago it was very easy to make money in adult, i.e. A kid in his parent's basement could make $1000s per month posting TGPs.

Now, things have changed and it is more competitive.

How much money can be made off of TGP's, paysites, tubesites (which I still don't understand), and content creation? Which gives the most bang for the buck?

SO many factors go into it all...
