FUUUUUUUUUCK united van lines.

They lagged so bad when we moved, we didn't have or stuff for like 2 months after we got into the new place & broke/damaged about $10,000 worth of stuff. It was a nightmare.

Whoever you use get a FLAT RATE for the whole thing, point to point, _in writing_ BEFORE they touch your stuff to load it up.

FLAT RATE.

No flat rate, no in writing before they take your stuff -- forgetaboutit.

Theres a lot of moving scams out there where they will quote you one price but then when your stuff is on the truck at the new place, they will try to bill you for tons more than you agreed on. Then when you complain, they will haul your stuff off to some affiliated storage company and charge you some crazy daily rates for storage.
