We are in this situation because W. decided he wanted to use the war on terror as an excuse to play out a personal vendetta against Hussein. No other reason.

Read the first post in this thread. Specifically Clintons quote. Clinton sure seemed to think Saddam was a big threat. Clinton could talk a good game but he was all talk and no action. Bush actually turned Clinton's rhetoric into action.
