Actually I can be VERY serious, however most of the time I choose to be more flippant and carefree.
I'm not a German law maker or student of their policies, I only vaguely recall reading something about censorship in The Fatherland.
I agree that the US's free speach is currently in jeopardy with our current administration, and that we have some religious extremists at the helm right now...and have historically had religious people in charge....
HOWEVER, I believe it is legal for US citizens to own a copy of Mein Kampf, to call you a Nazi, wear a Nazi swastika etc...
Name a book, insignia, flag or description of someone that someone in the US could not use?
Trust me I'm seriously opposed to anti-semetic things for a number of reasons, however, I feel that censorship is also as much a threat to liberty as hate speach.... Hitler, Stalin and many other fuckheads LOVED to re-write history, to deny factual events, ban the use or description of things...it is a knife that cuts both ways...
PS: don't consider this an anti-German or anti-Euro reply....I had a blast in Germany while I was there, and have relatives there today....
