I got married at 22, and it's been two years now. I know a lot of you guys (for good reason) counsel against early marriage to allow time to get a fucking clue about life, enjoy the many perks of being single and in your prime, etc. However, for some (like myself), I found getting married young really did me a world of good.
It helped me take my life and my responsibilities seriously, and I think I owe much of my recent success in life to the stability a serious relationship created. When I met my wife, I was living in a 400 sq. ft. efficiency apartment, spending all my money on booze and other indulgences, and had recently wrecked my sports car while driving drunk.
Since then, I totally cleaned up my act, made quantum leaps in career advancement (more than quadrupled my income), had my first kid, and bought a nice house. So I'm definitely one to vouch for such a move, but the rest of the guys are definitely right in most cases.

EDIT: Don't be afraid to do what's right for you, but don't let a consensus of insensitivity be pushed on you either.
