Umm I believe the "fairy tales" he was speaking of was the bible and I would assume the Quran or pretty much any other religious scripture. Because for thousands of years before the bible there were different beliefs. Grant it many of them originated from these beliefs but the truth is the whole middle east conflict has nothing to do with any religion that has originated in the past few thousand years. It really originates in the thousands of years before that. If you want to learn where most religions originated then look into the Sumerians beliefs. To get an understanding of the real territorial war look into Pangea (continental drift, plate tectonics), Sumer, Babylon, Atlantis, etc.
