We have a thing here called "seperation of church and state" wich allows us to not be goverened by religion. It was a good move too, seeing as all these countrys ruled by religious governments are all doing so well  |
I dunno buddy, with things like evangelicals winning bush 2 elections and the abortion issue always a big political standard. I'm going to have to say religion plays a BIG part in american politics. That was only 2 examples out of many regarding the religious lobbying power in america.
gay marriage, pledge of allegiance etc. etc.
