Where did you buy your drives? Were they OEM (plain drive) or retail (cables,screws etc)? Were the replacements from Seagate? Newegg ships all their drives in bubble wrap and paper or foam chips. Seagate and other HDD companies clearly say not to ship drives that way. If you send a bad drive to seagate in bubble wrap they won't even accept it and your warranty is void. Bad packaging can fuck up a drive easily.

It's fucked up newegg and other shops won't spend a little more money so the drives don't get damaged. I've received about 4 of them from newegg that went bad, different brands too. Won't be buying HDD from there anymore.
