"old men" is the key here. You have a generation of young people who have never bought a CD or a DVD in their life. Not because they are criminals but because they want something else. And “old men” are trying to keep old ways of doing things alive.
In 10-20 years there will be no Britney’s and Aguilera’s making billions on CD’s or Brad Pitt’s making billions on DVD’s. You will have “amateurs” making music because they love it and not because of the money. With more powerful computers and better cameras you will have great movies made by “amateurs” and this includes porn. Open source software is already 10 times better than anything Microsoft can come up with.
