I don't know about what that guy said but you are wrong. The land there is home to all the tribes that were born there not just the dominant one who decided to "claim" it by being gods chosen. It is an old trick they used to screw their brothers out of the land they all had because they felt them "savages" for not joining in their newly created dogma.
