I have some Israeli friends and heard from them both versions of the conflict - Israeli and Palestinian. And the only conclusion I came to is the more we're getting deeper into politics the more we're moving away from truth (hope I worded it correctly

lol).
Palestina: the poorest region of Israel with no infrastructure on its territory, no production. The territory was bought together with the Israeli territory by the people who revived Israel as a state. Religion - Islam
Israel: powerful state that provides Palestina with everything including water. Religion - Judaism.
Historically Jerusalem is the place with all major sacred places of Islam, Judaism and Christianity. The city has always been the heart of war. And the nature of Israeli-Palestinian conflict is religion. Palestina wants autonomy and Jerusalem. Of course Israel doesn't want to seperate a part of its teritory that legally belongs to Israel, plus no way they would give Jerusalem to Palestinians.
I'm seeing another story of Serbia and Kosovo here.
Speaking about US supporting Israel, there are many reasons for that, but the major ones are:
1. They have a reliable ally in the Middle East which is a very important region
2. Money. US is the major supplier of weapons in Israel.
