Should Osama put up an "Al Qaeda Wuz Here" sign at ground zero?

Funny how if I leave my house, walk down the block, kick the door down to your house and shoot the place up, no court in the world would accept a plea of "self defense".

Yet... George Bush seems to think so.

I still fail to see how the US's "freedom" was somehow threatened from a rather impoverished country on the other side of the world that has trouble keeping basic utilities running in the capital.

I also fail to see how any of it is related to a bunch of Saudi Arabians that committed terrorist attacks against the US who publically denounce the Iraqi leader anyways.

As far as I know:
1. No Iraqi, soldier or otherwise, has ever committed a terrorist attack against the United States.
2. Iraq has never conducted a military attack against the United States other than in self defense of their forces or their country.

Come on, imagine this is a conversation between two people:

Me: "You have a gun, I know you do, and you're going to shoot me with it. I'm coming to your house to shoot you first."

You: "No I don't. Scout's honor."

Me: "You're lying. I'm sending over the cops to search your house to find your gun"

You: "Ok"

Cops: "Can't find any guns"

Me: "Well I know you have one so I am coming over to shoot you in the face"

Tell me how this is protecting my liberty.
