That has happened to me several times...it is best to just register the name ASAP. I think I registered a good name once at the mac store at the mall...just to make sure I got it. Then I was like honey we can shop all day...and eat at the cheesecake factory tonight.
The name someone got before me was: HandballNation.com (perfect for a social network) the mofu wanted $350 when I tried to buy it from him...I was pissed and was no way paying that amount for an underground sport domain name.
