It's a regular xbox 360 but the firmware is altered so you can play "backups" of games; basically allowing you to play burt copies or backups on DVDRs of xbox 360 games without needing the original $60 game.
When the 360 first came out they were all over, but M$ has found a few ways to spot these systems on xboxlive and ban them from using the service or turning it an expensive paperweight (giving it the red ring of death)
They are only worth getting if you don't plan on playing xboxlive or updating the systems firmware. Most places usually charge about $50 to $200 to mod the firmware or you can buy them for about $400+ on CL. Honeslty not with it IMO since most of the "backup" games run about $20 to $30 online and you can't use xboxlive... Or at least that I've found
