Oh wow! Don't be embarassed, Rrred, it's true what they say: the worse stuff happens around the house.
A year ago or was it two, I came down the same stairs I must walk up and down 20 times a day and somehow, zoom, missed the bottom three steps. No biggie right? Landed on my feet even. Sorta. Actually landed on my feet but one leg bent and took the impact as it should but for some reason the other leg stayed straight. Crunch. The cartaledge above and under my knee went scrunch together. Couldn't walk for four days. When I could it was with a cane for three weeks and then hobbling about for another two. And on Vicodin all the while. (Seven weeks later you couldn't tell anything had happened.) Still can't believe landing what must have been a mere two feet off the ground and inside a house could have wiped me for a month and a half but it did.
It's going to take a few weeks, Rrred. Take it easy (and get some good painkillers!)
