Who's to say what the hunter feels unless one knows him/her personally. Most times when I see somebody posting pictures of fish they caught, I don't think it's because they want to show domination over other species. They're just proud of their catch and want to record it and the memories that go with it. As somebody who has fished, I understand this. The fish is the reward for patience, luck, skill. The hunter posting pictures with his catch is probably much like the fisherman with his pics. Nothing more, nothing less.
