I liked this so much I thought I'd post it here
I was replying to a guy (who I don't know) who was criticizing my marketing company (which he doesn't know anything about) and my former program (which he wasn't an affiliate of) on another board. I liked my answer to him so much that I thought I would post it here. I am going to apologize ahead of time to those on this board who have a hard time with logic, because you won't understand it. The replies that follow will prove that. Ok, here it is:
My marketing tips and my marketing company have nothing to do with my former company, which yes, I just closed.
But again, if you weren't an affiliate of that company what inspires you to come on a board and comment on it? Bored? Nothing to do? Just for the hell of it?
It simply amazes me how many people go out of their way to criticize someone they don't even know and just may have heard some things about.
Or do you really think that everything you read on GFY is the gospel truth?
For your information, my marketing company is a very sound business concept that has helped many people in the mainstream world with their marketing. I'm just moving into the adult space. I'm doing that because, for the most part I like the people I've met in the adult space and I would like to work with them to help them with their marketing. For the most part I'm trying to separate the great people I've met at the shows and some of the assholes that do nothing but take any chance they get to rip people all day on the boards, despite what the consequences may be.
I don't know what kind of satisfaction it gives these people, I really don't. I also don't know why someone would go out of their way to try to make me look bad on the boards and hurt my business just for the hell of it.
I will continue to post my tips on the boards, despite the feedback I may get from these people. I've gotten enough nice feedback and sign ups for my newsletter that I know there are plenty of positive, hard working businesspeople in the adult space that are interested in hiring a talented, knowledgeable marketing consultant like myself.
I know what my abilities are. The people who take their time to criticize and attempt to damage other people's reputations that they hardly know or don't know at all should look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves why they would take their valuable (I would hope) time to be so negative.
