Avoiding US taxes is already illegal so Obama is likely just saying he plans to step up enforcement measures. Personally I think any money that gets sent to the government is wasted which is why I opposed Obama and his tax increase in the first place. I would prefer to keep my money and do with it what I see fit rather than have some corrupt bureaucrat pass it on to his campaign contributors.
I heard a lot of people on this board who were clamoring in favor of higher taxes before the election so it will be interesting to see how they feel about actually paying those taxes. I would guess most of them would prefer to keep their own money and have someone else pay.
